More than 50 scholars will join our community as Newberry Fellows during the 2022-2023 academic year.
Supported by funding from the Newberry and other partners, the fellows will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Newberry’s world-class collection while pursuing research on a diverse range of topics in the humanities.
The new interdisciplinary cohort includes professors, independent researchers, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars from a variety of disciplines and institutions.
The researchers will explore an array of topics, including the social impact of corner liquor stores in Black urban life, women printers in the English book trade, and the tension between local and global cultures in colonial Manila.
