Federal Censuses

The records of the United States census for New Jersey for 1790, 1800, 1810, and 1820 do not survive. All other years are available on-line at the public access computers; ask at 2nd floor reference desk. Printed indexes to the 1830, 1840, and 1850 censuses can be found in the Newberry catalog.
